It Is Planned to Facilitate the Docking of the M-12 With the MНSD in September 2023

At the junction of the M-12 federal road (Moscow – Nizhny Novgorod – Kazan) with the Moscow High-Speed Diameter (MНSD) in the urban district of Lyubertsy, Moscow Oblast, road workers are actively engaged in the construction of the second launch complex of the 0th stage, aimed at creating an embankment for the roadbed to ensure connectivity between Moscow and federal roads.

Spanning from the Moscow High-Speed Diameter to the Central Orbital Road, the length of the second launch complex of the 0th stage is 42.5 km.

Given the prevailing weather conditions, the focus is on excavation, monolithic work, and the installation of foundations for noise barriers. These efforts are expected to be completed by autumn this year. The construction team has successfully erected supports and span structures on 13 out of the 20 man-made structures (MS) at this launch complex. The construction of the embankment has been completed to over 90%, while the sand bed is ready to over 70%. All excavation works are slated to be finished by the upcoming summer season, followed by the asphalt concrete paving.

The construction team will be responsible for laying approximately 580,000 tons of asphalt, improving the area within the right of way, installing a barrier fence, lighting, applying markings, and mounting noise screens at certain sections of the launch complex.

On a daily average, the facility engages 1,620 construction specialists and utilizes 479 pieces of equipment. During the peak of the construction season, it is envisaged to engage up to 3,800 specialists and a minimum of 1,200 pieces of equipment.

The initial portion of the M-12 highway near Moscow is the only section of the route that features six lanes. The proposed infrastructure will provide motorists with the opportunity to bypass Balashikha and Noginsk seamlessly and at high speed, without encountering traffic lights or intersections. Moreover, drivers will be able to take advantage of a comfortable rest area to take a break and refuel their vehicles. Multifunctional areas have been planned at the 26th kilometer mark (on the left) and the 27th kilometer mark (on the right) of the route.
